Krista Covell-Pierson, OTR/L, BCB-PMD, Owner – firstname.lastname@example.org
At the age of 17, I went to work with my aunt and watched her practicing occupational therapy (OT). I knew I found my destiny. Without a doubt, I wanted to become an OT. Over 20 years later, I am still convinced that was one of the best decisions I made!
As an OT, I have been fortunate to work with thousands of people to become more independent, safe and feel more satisfied with their life. Through creative problem solving, taking time to understand my clients and families, clinical training and experience I feel fulfilled helping others.
I created and developed Covell Care and Rehabilitation, LLC through the simple understanding that therapy is often more beneficial and effective when provided in a client’s familiar environment. Over the last decade, services and professionals have been added to Covell Care’s program to enable clients access to multiple disciplines and support to help them is a variety of aspects. Each discipline was carefully selected based on the needs of our community.
I absolutely love running and managing Covell Care. I deeply value my time with my clients and families and we often become part of each other’s lives for many years.
Helping students grow into fantastic OT’s is important to me and I have provided over 10,000 hours of volunteer time to Colorado State University. I received the Fieldwork Educator of the Year Award in 2013 which I am so proud of!
I am President of the Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado helping OT’s in Colorado find support and value, as well as advocating for OT in the community and in political circles.
A Colorado native, I grew up in Castle Rock and have lived in Northern Colorado for over 20 years. My love of travel has taken me to over 40 countries. I also love to spend time with my husband, hike, waterski, reading, taking pictures and playing with my two sweet bulldogs.

One of my greatest passions has always been to help others and I can remember as far back as Kindergarten that I was always concerned for the well-being of others and wanted to help whenever I could. Prior to working with Covell Care I worked at Bonfils Blood Center as a Lab technician and primarily as a Training Specialist. Although I enjoyed my time at Bonfils, in 2008 I moved to Fort Collins and it was then when I truly realized my passion for helping others which led me to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). During my 3 years as a CNA I really enjoyed the feeling that I was making a difference in someone’s life by providing the highest level of care possible.
I am able to continue helping people at Covell Care and Rehab and strive to ensure our clients needs have been met. Speaking to clients and families in need is truly the best part of my day because I know I am helping ensure they get the care that they deserve. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, scrapbooking, crafts, and most of all spending quality with my amazing husband and beautiful daughter.

I was born and raised in a little town in Southern California. I was married at 19 and by the time I was 30 I had 4 kids under the age of 6. Shortly after my youngest was born we moved to Loveland, Colorado. My goal was to be the best stay at home mom in the world. For 13 years I was able to be just that. In 2012 I went back to work and got a job as a Barista at a little coffee shop whose name starts with Star and ends with bucks. I love to take opportunities to inject happiness into people lives even if it’s just through serving a good cup of coffee. In November of 2014 I was hired on at Covell Care and I come with that same attitude, of bringing happiness to others through my work. I was fortunate enough to be hired at a company where helping people is the passion and goal of everyone I work with. I look forward to coming to work because I know even my little part can help change someone’s life.
